2 successful events in 4 months! All I can say is wow! The cats behind this label is definitely making a huge impact in the local scene. Huge props to Mr. Bojam and Jimmy P.
These guys helped me heaps with the launch of A StigFish in Manila. Flipmusic artists rocked the stage with A StigFish shirts on, chicks started screaming as soon as they saw LDP - Lyrically Deranged Poets hit the stage. Rjay Ty of LDP was rocking "Ride that manatee" shirt, Alex had "Astigbot" shirt on and Abra was wearing "3 stars and an Octopus"... The place went nuts. This chick came to me while they were performing, asking me about the shirt rjay was wearing, she was like "kuya pabili nga po nang suot ni Rjay (can I buy the same shirt Rjay is wearing)", I was like "sure no problem, here you go enjoy your shirt!" and she was like "kuya isa pa po, 2 na po bilhin ko (give me another 1, I'll buy 2 instead)". And there was this time at FIRST DIBS event, a kid waited a few hours for Abra to get there. He made sure he got the same Octopus shirt Abra was wearing during the AstigFlip event. Man when Abra got there, people started asking him for photos, the kid and his possies started running to him, even the street kids selling sampaguitas and rags ran to him, asking if he really was Abra.
Damn son, I knew these guys will be superstars in the local scene.
Before ASTIGFLIP happened, they we asked to perform in "PARTY PILIPINAS". Threw some wicked verses with local celebs/artists/singers on national TV. Chyeah! More exposure for the crew and it was the first time A StigFish was on air. Alex was rocking my all black, hooded varsity jacket. It was a shit angle of Alex on TV. You cant really see the logo but still, it felt good knowing people will start recognizing A StigFish.
